Martinelli Advogados has helped Brazilian technology company Positivo Tecnologia acquire local electronic security distributor SecuriCenter.

SecuriCenter was advised by its internal counsel.

The deal closed on 31 August. The acquisition is yet to be approved by Brazilian antitrust regulator CADE.

The undisclosed acquisition value was partially disbursed at closing. The remainder will be paid over the course of the next five years.

With the purchase of SecuriCenter, Positivo enters the automation and electronic security sector, while the company consolidates its presence in Brazil’s digital security industry with the deal.

Positivo is one of Brazil’s largest developers and producers of hardware-based technology. Its assets include computers, mobile phones, servers, smart office devices, and educational technology for schools in over 40 countries. It has an approximate market value of US$265 million.

SecuriCenter is one of the largest distributors in Brazil’s electronic security sector. With over 25 years’ experience, itsdistribution centres in São Paulo and Recife serve more than 13,000 customers.
