João Joaquim Martinelli founds Martinelli Advocacia Empresarial with a small headquarters located in a rented house next to a consulting and auditing company in Joinville/SC, having one client and 42 cases.

Inauguration of its own building where, to this date, the firm’s headquarters remains.

Opening of new units in São Paulo/SP, Curitiba/PR, and Porto Alegre/RS. It marks the beginning of the national expansion to be closer to our clients.

Beginning of activities in Belo Horizonte/MG, with the takeover of a local firm. The attendant expansion further encouraged the creation of a new unit in Rio de Janeiro/RJ. This year also marked the inauguration of an advanced unit in Brasília/DF to strengthen our advocacy before the superior courts.

Beginning of activities in Maringá/PR.

Inauguration of strategic units in Criciúma/SC, Caçador/SC, Chapecó/SC, Florianópolis/SC, and Caxias do Sul/RS 2005 – For the first time, Martinelli Advogados is mentioned by Anuário Análise 500 amidst the most admired law firms in Brazil.

Within only 10 years, Martinelli Advogados has already reached a prominent position in the Brazilian legal field, providing services to many of the main companies in the South and Southeast regions of the country.

Creation of the institute Instituto Martinelli Solidariedade, a non-profit association whose actions are targeted on the firm’s tertiary sector, focused on children and adolescents’ education.

With the fast expansion of Perini Business Park, in Joinville/SC, Martinelli Advogados creates an office to attend to its clients in the largest multi-sector business condominium in Brazil.

Opening of a new unit in Campinas/SP, and inauguration of an self-owned building in Maringá/PR.

After 15 years of operation, Martinelli Advogados consolidates itself as the largest Brazilian full-service law firm with headquarters outside the Rio-São Paulo hub.

Keeping up with the internationalization of its clients, the firm carries out its first in-loco representation of a client in China.

On its 20th anniversary, the firm publishes a commemorative book and creates its Board of Directors, as well as new Corporative Governance tools.

Instituto Martinelli Solidariedade holds a 10th anniversary commemorative campaign. Martinelli Advogados launches a new website and the project Martinelli Digital, aiming at keeping up with new technologies’ trends.

Inaugurates two new units, in Cascavel and Passo Fundo, intensifying the proximity with clients of these regions. Units from Belo Horizonte and Rio de Janeiro expand their spaces. Unit of the Perini Business Park is transferred to Ágora Tech Park, an innovation ecosystem in Joinville.
