Vinicius Cavalcanti specializes in tax law and advises clients in highly regulated, complex industries, with particular focus on Oil & Gas and the power sector. His experience includes tax planning, in-depth analysis of direct and indirect taxes, and international tax matters.
He has strong expertise in the REPETRO regime and other special customs regimes. His practice also covers the tax structuring and execution of large industrial projects, including the use of mechanisms such as the Ex-Tarifário regime and R&D tax incentives under Law No. 11,196/2005 (Lei do Bem). His deep customs knowledge, together with hands-on experience negotiating and implementing large-scale projects in Brazil, supports a comprehensive, strategic approach.
He also leads complex engagements involving the review and enhancement of REPETRO controls and the assessment of tax reform implementation impacts across multiple sectors, with a focus on tax optimization and risk mitigation.
